One of my favorite quotes is from Anais Nin:
We hear this word so often, but what does it mean to have courage?
Courage is defined as, “the ability to do something that frightens one.”
An act of courage doesn’t have to be something big. It can be small and something that’s out of your own comfort box. Have you ever not done something because you experienced feelings of fear or worry?
Allowing fear to determine the choices you make might sound great at the time – because why in the world does anyone want to experience panic and apprehension? However, having courage is a choice and is something that you will never regret.
This week, I challenge you. When you experience a situation where you feel nervous, fearful or “unsure,” think of this quote by Anais Nin and ask yourself: do you want your life to shrink or expand?
P.S. Here are some other awesome quotes by Anais Nin that I couldn’t help but share.
